Even the most exceptional school teachers can face challenges when trying to engage with every student in a class with a high student-to-teacher ratio. Each child has a unique learning pace and style, leading to inevitable variations in progress.
Private tutors, on the other hand, take the time to understand their students’ learning styles, allowing them to create personalised learning plans. They ensure that a concept is fully grasped before moving forward, boosting a student’s confidence and narrowing the gap in abilities among peers.

At I Tutor Club, our approach to matching your child with the right tutor is highly personalised and thorough. It all begins with a careful review of the form you submit, outlining your child’s subject and educational needs. Once we’ve read and understood your requirements, we schedule a meeting with you.
During this meeting, you have the opportunity to share more about your child’s unique learning style, challenges, preferences, and personality. We also discuss the preferred time slots for the lessons. Based on this comprehensive understanding, we work to match your child with a tutor who not only has availability during your preferred schedule and expertise in the required subject but also shares a compatible personality and teaching approach.
Our goal is to create a harmonious and long-lasting tutor-student relationship, where the tutor’s teaching style complements your child’s learning preferences and fosters their educational and personal development. This careful matching process ensures the best possible fit, optimising the educational experience for your child. We believe that a well-matched tutor can make a significant difference in your child’s learning journey, and we are committed to achieving this synergy.
In order to work at I Tutor Club, the tutors must have obtained QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) which is a legal requirement to teach in most British schools. It is usually achieved through a Bachelor’s degree in education (BEd) or a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant subject followed by a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE).
All teachers must undergo an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check to ensure they are suitable to work with children.
What we cover
At I Tutor Club we offer the following different type of lessons:
- One-to-one lessons
- Group lessons
- Holiday camps
You can read more about them here.
One-to-one or private lessons allow students to receive 100% of the tutor’s time and resources. Lessons are individually personalised and adapted to suit the children’s needs. Tutors create customised learning plans based on the student’s strengths, weaknesses, and academic goals. This targeted approach helps address specific areas that may need improvement.
The one-to-one lessons consist of personalised online tutoring aimed at elevating your child’s education. These sessions are conducted via video call, utilising various educational resources to ensure an engaging and effective learning experience. We cover a wide range of subjects for primary and secondary students, prioritising excellence in the English curriculum and beyond. Experience customised learning for their success!
You can read more about it here.
Group sessions range from 2 to 3 students which we feel, still allows the tutor to provide enough attention to each child.
There are many reasons as to why this may be the best option for a student.
- Social Interaction: Many children enjoy being around their peers. Group lessons provide an opportunity for social interaction, making learning a more engaging and fun experience. They can interact with friends, ask questions, and collaborate on activities.
- Peer Motivation: In a group setting, children may feel motivated to perform well and keep up with their classmates. Competition or a sense of camaraderie can drive them to participate actively and put in effort.
- Teamwork and Cooperation: Group lessons often involve collaborative activities and projects that teach children important skills such as teamwork, cooperation, and communication.
- Reduced Pressure: Some children may feel less pressure in a group setting compared to one-on-one instruction. They may be more comfortable making mistakes in front of a group, as they know they are not the sole focus of attention.
- Cost-Effective: Group lessons are typically more cost-effective than private lessons, making them a more affordable option for many families. This can be a significant consideration for parents when choosing an educational program.
- Fun and Games: Group lessons can incorporate games, activities, and group exercises that make learning enjoyable. Children may see group lessons as a chance to have fun while learning.
As the name suggests, holiday camps occur during the school holidays. Depending on the student’s requirements, the learning is typically spread over a few hours with time given for breaks in-between sessions. Holiday camps are ideal for students preparing for upcoming exams or students looking to utilise their time off to catch up in a certain subject.

Policies
We understand that unexpected circumstances may arise, requiring the rearrangement of lessons. Requests to reschedule or cancel lessons can come from either the tutor or the student. We strongly encourage providing sufficient notice if unable to attend.
Students are required to provide a minimum of 2 hours’ notice for cancellations. If a lesson is canceled within 2 hours of the scheduled start time or if the student fails to inform the tutor of the cancellation, the tutor reserves the right to charge the full price.
Tutors must wait for at least 15 minutes in the online classroom and make an attempt to contact the student via phone call. Providing evidence of these efforts is necessary for enforcing a full charge. If the tutor’s lateness causes the student to cancel the lesson after the scheduled start time, the tutor cannot bill the student for the full amount.
If a tutor is unable to complete the lesson for any reason, the lesson must be re-scheduled.
We recommend that you discuss with your tutor before the first lesson their expectations regarding cancellations and rescheduling.
If your tutor is late to the lesson, if there was a connection issue, or if you were not satisfied with the quality of the lesson, you can request to reschedule or ask for a refund.
For rescheduling, please arrange another time for the lesson directly with your tutor.
To request a refund, kindly send an email to info@itutorclub.com, providing full details of your request.
Prior to commencing work with i Tutor Club, all tutors are required to submit a recent copy of their DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) certificate, previously referred to as a Criminal Records Check. This prerequisite aligns with the same requirement for teachers in both primary and secondary schools across the UK. Additionally, we conduct supplementary background checks on teachers to verify the accuracy of the information provided.
